Love INC Carver County works hard at nurturing relationships with churches, school districts, government agencies and other service organizations to identify unmet needs that emerge in the community. We help the 33 local churches in our network build ministries to respond – to fill these gaps in local services so that neighbors get the help they need.

We also serve with our community agencies and charities by accepting referrals from them of people who need help. When these organizations cannot provide assistance inside the scope of their resources, mandates and protocols neighbors in need get referred to Love INC’s network of churches. As well, when Love INC network churches cannot meet a person’s needs, we will refer them to other service agencies.

Love INC behaves as a “clearinghouse” through the Client Help Line. We fielded 2,026 phone calls in 2020! Here’s what happens…

1. Receives requests for help.  A person in need calls the Love INC Help Line with a request for help.

2. Assesses the need.  Love INC staff/volunteer conducts an intake to examine the nature, extent and legitimacy of the client’s needs.

3. Provides help.  The person is then referred to the most appropriate Love INC partner church, church volunteer, community agency or service organization to provide resources, programs or services that can help.

4. Follows up. Love INC staff/volunteers follow up with the client and ministry/agency that provided the assistance offering further assistance, support or referrals.
